To most, WWE is your only exposure to pro-wrestling, but did you know up until 30 years ago, pro-wrestling was more like the Mafia than a sports league? Did you know that in the 80’s, while wrestling presented a show literally designed for children, that behind the curtain was the most Rated R, sexual, drug addled, sexified, violent, and cutthroat world imaginable? It was a sex, drugs, and muscles world while a nationwide SUCCESSION-like corporate war for national supremacy waged. In this crazy world of 80’s wrestling, ALL these things happened: A wrestler bit a man’s nose off in a bar, a promoter offered a rival’s wrestler $500k to jump leagues with the rival’s title belt, wrestlers were killed for gambling debt with the Mafia, arch-enemies in the ring arrested for drugs WITH each other, a Hollywood actor was slapped on a late night talk show, wrestlers tried to form a union, a wrestler broke his back in an airplane crash to become the greatest wrestler ever, backstage brawls with guys almost killing each other with scissors, guys wrestling a match while an orchestra played music to match the action, a Black wrestler given the character of an African savage animal, a legendary wrestler pulled a ‘57 Magnum on the most famous wrestler in the world, while a fan held off a group of bad guy wrestlers at gunpoint at ringside, and wrestlers were given World title reigns in exchange for sex! These are just some of the building blocks of KINGS OF THE RING, a fictional soap opera that re-creates all the crazy, unbelievable, and outrageous tales of the real world of 80’s wrestling! In the 1980’s, anything went and wrestlers lived a life much wilder than the hardest partying rock stars, because fans then believed that wrestling was 100% real, and the wrestlers went to incredible lengths to protect this illusion. Often at the cost of their own souls... The characters will seem familiar to you, but never exactly the same as real people, and the stories will blow your mind, as you listen knowing that everything is based on the truth! It’s wrestling... it’s the 1980’s ... it’s sex, drugs, and muscles, baby... welcome to the Kings of the Ring.

Previously on Kings of the Ring,

Thor's new manager Daniel Daybreak promised Thor a special project after possibly botching Thor's chance to be in Predator, while Daniel Hawkins declared war on the rest of the World Wrestling Alliance and trying to get full rights to call his company the "WWA", with his secret weapon... the Champions Clause.

Gabriel Angel helped brother Michael recover from almost dying from a drug overdose in Tokyo, after Burt Ironside sent him to bring Michael home and Buddy Melrose's Union launch was cut off before it even started when he was fired via FedEx before he could even board the plane.

Julian Cain's secret weapon Vance Armstrong has been training in Calgary and he's finally ready to see the results, while he's been waging war on the ground against Charlie Gotch's AMW, running shows head to head all throughout the Midwest.

Despite being arrested together, Denny Wayne and Gabriel Angel were set to headline a major arena tour after Burt used their real life situation as an angle, however ABC News Exposed did an entire story on the arrest, exposing to the nation these "hated rivals" are actually good friends who do drugs together.

And finally Jesse James and Diamond Donny Gold set the territory on fire, when in Donny's comeback he betrayed Jesse James!

Diamond Donny Gold not only returned to the ring after an absence of almost a year, but betrayed Jesse James in the first match against the Russians.

Julian Cain and Charlie Gotch continued to escalate their war throughout the Midwest while the Alliance ostracized Daniel Hawkins and SCW, who has already begun utilizing the family lawyer to fight the Alliance through the courts.

And Hollywood Buddy Melrose has spent weeks pitching and prepping the wrestlers of the EWF to form a union after a mass walkout for the upcoming Madison Square Garden show

Previously on Kings of the Ring,

The Rock'n'Rollers vs. Willie Dean & Kenny West have been stealing the show on the latest SCW run, and Jesse James seems ready to walk right out of there because of Daniel Hawkins.

Michael Angel awoke from his drug coma and is being cared for by brother Gabriel in Japan, while Tommy Aloha and Killian Kavanagh are running one of the hottest feuds in EWF history all across AMW's territory, throughout the Midwest.

Julian Cain discovered a hidden Meat Machine gem in Vance Armstrong and began training him in Calgary with Frankie Lovejoy, while Hollywood Buddy Melrose has been individually building support for a wrestling union in the EWF locker room. Plus Charlie & Nelly Gotch saw their home Denver TV station is trying to drop them and start carrying the EWF.

And finally, after returning to TV, Diamond Donny Gold was attacked by the Russians and saved by Jesse James of all people, which has spurred his comeback to wrestling at last, with this dream team set to headline the Omni in Atlanta, in one of the most anticipated matches in Alliance history!

Previously on Kings of the Ring,

Jesse James and Donny Gold have seemingly formed an "alliance" to deal with the Russian threat, while Beautiful Barry Lovelace has been riding high as World Heavyweight Champion (direct from Hawkins' orders) after being in the dumps for so long with Miss Kitty's alleged affair with Donny.

In an incredible angle, Killian Kavanagh broke a coconut over Tommy Aloha's head, and Buddy Melrose continued to build support for a wrestling union.

After Thor lost his part in Predator to the recently fired Corporal Punishment, superagent Daniel Daybreak promised he had something big for Thor.

After getting arrested with in-ring arch enemy Denny Wayne, Gabriel Angel was flown off to Tokyo to check on his brother Michael and his brush with death.

Charlie Gotch and Julian Cain have been engaged in a direct territory war with the EWF schedule narrowed down to AMW towns, with Charlie coming back by loading his roster with outsiders and red hot act, the Apocalypse on top.

And finally Burt, Raylen, and Charlie have had enough of Daniel Hawkins and have officially voted him OUT of the World Wrestling Alliance!?!

Previously on Kings of the Ring,

Dan Sanders answered the cocky challenge of a truck driver and humiliated him in a bar with an incredible feat of strength, and Corporal Punishment took the role in Predator meant for Thor Hansen, thanks to Nigel Davies.

Thor Hansen has been riding high and throwing his weight around, while Julian Cain has been grooming Vance Armstrong to potentially take his place.

Tommy Aloha has become the best worker in the land with Donny Gold sidelined, who was recently attacked by the Russians while receiving bags of fanmail in the WVBS Studios since returning to the road.

Krusher Krawcyk is somewhat enjoying life since Donny Gold bought him a new house in suburban St. Louis, while the Texas Outlaws slowly build to a showdown with the Apocalypse in AMW.

Since laying the law down on Jesse James and scoring with Miss Kitty, Daniel Hawkins has been riding on a major high and even standing up to Burt Ironside and Charlie Gotch in an Alliance meeting.

And finally Burt Ironside got a late night phone call from Japan, coldly and cruelly informing him his son Michael Angel was dead!

Previously on Kings of the Ring,

Jesse James informed Vladimir Rykoff he would be winning the World title, yet was ordered by Daniel Hawkins to drop the belt to Barry Lovelace instead.

Thor Hansen's Hollywood career has been moving up with Predator coming up next, as he keeps rubbing Nigel Davies' face and disrespecting the venerable legend.

After Gabriel Angel and Denny Wayne were arrested together with pot, Criss Stanley jokingly suggested to make an angle out of it, which Burt seized on.

Michael Angel has settled into life in Japan and Vance Armstrong trains as Julian Cain's plans for him seem to get bigger by the day.

To combat the invading EWF, Charlie Gotch brought in the Texas Outlaws from Japan to challenge the Apocalypse as their most credible opponents to date.

Corporal Punishment was fired by Julian Cain for refusing to turn into a Communist turncoat heel.

And finally, Daniel Hawkins and Miss Kitty both fulfilled their parts of the bargain as 'Beautiful' Barry Lovelace indeed beat 'Outlaw' Jesse James for the WWA World Heavyweight title.

After getting so high he passed out in the ring during Empire-Mania 2, Michael Angel was finally fired by Julian Cain.

The Russians destroyed Jesse James on All-Star Wrestling and draped a Russian flag over his body, the Southern Rebels returned to All-South Wrestling and immediately shook up the territory, in front of and behind the curtain, while "Pretty Boy" Willie Dean was recruited by Jesse to join SCW.

Looking to boost their top act the Apocalypse, Nelly Gotch looks to recruit in Japan and Thor Hansen has a new hotshot agent, Daniel Daybreak, who is about to take his movie career to the next level.

Julian Cain told Corporal Punishment he's in line to headline Empire-Mania 3 at the LA Olympic Coliseum but he'll have to turn into a Russian turncoat.

And finally Miss Kitty agreed to sleep with Daniel Hawkins in exchange for making her husband Beautiful Barry Lovelace the new World Champion.
